1Day1Life4Now 882 Posted April 26, 2014 I didn't have a drain at the hospital or at home. Wow, call the doctor or let someone you know in the medical field look at it. Good luck Keewee. 1 KeeWee reacted to this

As you are healing the bloody color will disappear and it will get light yellow like that. It's serous drainage and your body produces it when it's had an insult such as surgery. Call the doc if you are really worried about it though. :-) 2 reaching high and KeeWee reacted to this
insideMrRH3 3 Posted April 26, 2014 I didn't have a drain either. I had the On-Q Infusion Pain Pump aka a "Pain Buster Ball". That was all that was attached to me after surgery. Pre-Op, my Doctor asked me what was my biggest concern about the surgery, and I told him Pain afterwards. I guess he listened to me and this helped me tremendously. It administered pain meds right to my stomach through a catheter. #SurgeryDate: April 22, 2014 1 KeeWee reacted to this

No pain meds after the first 24 hours and only 1 pain pill prior to removing the catheters (which I didn't even need...it was just preemptive on the advice of my surgeon). I was also sleeved 4/22 1 KeeWee reacted to this
jujube 42 Posted April 26, 2014 Mine turned that color for one day and then back to red. I think you are ok unless it starts looking like puss or green. 1 KeeWee reacted to this
KeeWee 470 Posted April 27, 2014 So the little worry wart I am needed conformation before I thought I was ever gonna get some sleep, couldn't keep trying to wait til Monday. Basically you're all correct. The straw yellow color is normal and expected at times. Any dark yellow with any sediments or any green colors at all should be evaluated. 1 1Day1Life4Now reacted to this
