itsjustdaisy 14 Posted April 26, 2014 Today I feel a lot better. I am on day 4 since my sleeve and it does get better. I haven't weight myself yet I will be doing so at one week. Overall my incisions are healing nicely. They do feel sore at times specially when I move. I'm taking this journey one day at a time. I have been feeling Bit of pressure around between my chest area. Does anyone have the same thing? Is it normal? It usually happens after I drink. Hope everyone is doing well.
gettinbac2me 1 Posted April 26, 2014 Maybe you need to sip slower. I had to learn that. I'm 5 days post op. I still have pain on the left side of one of the incisions. I also have itching as well. Do your incentive spirometer as often as you can.

Hope everyone is doing well.I am also four days out and get the pressure feeling in my chest...my doc said it was pretty common...they were doing a lot of work around the diaphragm and I think that was also where they pulled out the stomach remnant...so it will be sore with any kind of pressure. I try to swallow several times with each sip so it is a smooth flow of liquid rather than a larger volume. Congrats on your success!! 1Day1Life4Now 882 Posted April 26, 2014 Make sure you are moving and walking, not just sitting around. You still have a lot of air/gas in your system that is trapped causing some of that pain. Moving really does help with that. This weather is now perfect to get out for several short walks today. For those itchy incisions, I used Neosporin and it really helped get rid of the itchiness and helped to heal things up. At 2 1/2 months you can barely even see my incisions. I am hoping they will disappear completely. You will notice a difference every day in how you feel. You will feel stronger and stronger as time goes by. You have had major surgery and you are making tremendous changes in your lifestyle so go easy on yourself. Wishing you well.
