rigonj 103 Posted April 26, 2014 I know it can't be confirmed without a doctors visit but I thought maybe I can get some advice. Thursday I had gotten a nut stuck. I ended up throwing up. Like from my lower stomach. Like an idiot I continued eating that day cause I felt "unstuck" well everything I ate immediately came up. Lower stomach throwing up once again. So from that afternoon on I decided to stay on liquids. Well I even had trouble getting Water and my Protein Shake down. So all day yesterday I just had my coffee and water and a double Protein shake. Everything is staying down not feeling "stuck" but now I'm burping everytime I sip anything. I called the surgeon they told me to wait it out until Monday because it could be from my sinus infection and swelling. I have no acid reflux at night but I'm still afraid to try to eat anything soild. I did have a string cheese last night that I chewed really well and it basically slid down. Then some oatmeal but very small amount. I guess basically what I'm asking is has anyone had these symptoms with a slip?
blinken 1 Posted April 26, 2014 I had this happen with refried Beans, it did work through, it was week 2 , I ended up having to go in for IV fluids though, it is not pleasant, The other day I had a very small bit of boiled egg get stuck, it took 6 hours of walking together it to let up, not eating boiled eggs again, lol Sounds like your nut is working through, hope it gets better
rigonj 103 Posted April 26, 2014 Thanks so much for your response. Makes me feel better. My husband thinks I'm overreacting. He said if it slipped he thinks I would feel some pain. But I've read different so I was freaking out lol
blinken 1 Posted April 26, 2014 My surgeon said he sees this often, and my severe dehydration was caused from the refried Beans incident , he put me back o. broth and Jello for a week, It worked! 1 rigonj reacted to this
