That sounds like a great idea. I need something to work. I'm incorporating weights more now and cardio. We shall see, I hate this muffin top!

I try to don the kickboxing 3 times a week

I'm stuck in a rut too! I was doing Insanity and it was working wonderfully but the scale wasn't moving much. INCHES though, I did lose. I could tell in my NEW shorts. Try a new type of exercise. The gym did not do it for me like Insanity. Good luck!

Thanks, I just really need to find a new regime and feel so lost! It's been 22 months since my sleeve and I'm still not at goal. ;(

Got a follow up appointment with my surgeon tomorrow. I'm praying he puts at least MOST of the Fluid he took out 6 weeks ago. I was already struggling to meet my goal with only 20 lbs. to go, but 6 weeks with an almost completely unfilled band has been tough...not to mention the few lbs. I gained in the process.

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum and am particularly interested in what everyone thinks about the role nutrition plays in helping you reach your weight goals. I can only imagine how stressed and frustrated so many of you seem to be now that your weight loss seems to have stalled. It's also interesting to see the number of you who have received advice from doctors to 'just exercise more and eat less'. Seriously? I've done my fair share of dieting over the years, losing weight, it finding me again, fasting, calorie counting, exercising 6 days a week etc etc. But the one piece of advice I got last year from a particular weight loss program that has held true til now is that exercising is only 10-20% of the equation when it comes to sustainable weight loss. The other 80-90% is down to nutrition. (Ask your trainer at the gym, they'll confirm.)

For most of you on this forum you are already eating within calorie restricted allowances, which makes the issue of 'quality' nutrition far more important. You want to feel full, you want to feel energised all day, you want to curb cravings, you still want the pleasure of eating, you want great sleep, you want to feel happy with what you're doing, you want to feel in control of your health.

If any of this sound like you, then I can help. But first you need to ask yourself:

Am I SERIOUS about getting to where I want to be?

Am I WILLING to take a look at one nutrition solution that will help me get there and make an informed decision?

Am I prepared COMMIT to at least 30 days to see if this really is for me?

Do I like the sound of 30-day MONEY BACK GUARANTEE?

If you answered yes to these questions then please get in contact with me (Melanie) at onefinelife.net@gmail.com.

Whatever you decide, I truly hope that you get to your goal - not only in regards to your weight loss, but also in regards to living the life you dream of.

Just remember, there’s no better time than RIGHT NOW to start living the life you want :)

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
