windfaerie 41 Posted April 25, 2014 Ok I found out putting 2 packs emergen C in 32 ounces of Water and putting in a scoop of unflavored whey Protein Powder for an orange Protein Drink. Bad Idea. Yuck I thought I could take care of 2 things. I have sniffles so boost immune system and get extra 20 grams Protein.< /span>
millergirl314 168 Posted April 25, 2014 Sounds like something I would do. Don't put that unflavored Protein in gravy either, it seperated. Lol. 1 windfaerie reacted to this
BigGirlPanties 957 Posted April 25, 2014 Protein cannot be put into anything too hot or it will separate... I think 140 degrees is the max... you can sprinkle it on your food before you eat tho ... at least you are trying new things... who knows, it may have worked! Good luck! 1 windfaerie reacted to this

windfaerie 41 Posted April 25, 2014 experimentation is fun
BigGirlPanties 957 Posted April 25, 2014 (edited) My husband is just happy when I cook...anything!!! most of my experiments are pretty simple, so he's been happy... he loved the parmesan chips, and cauliflower pizza, which surprised me, he even orders smasked cauliflower when we go out now instead of potatoes! The Italian stuffed chicken was no biggie, but I never made it before...etc... I found a recipe for spinach/ginger Soup that looks good, since I haven't really had Soup since I started this...even tho it's springtime, I may make a batch to try it out...it's also suppose to help with stomach upsets because of the ginger Edited April 25, 2014 by BigGirlPanties
Miss Mac 6,262 Posted April 25, 2014 I blame the Emergen-C I can't make that nasty, bitter stuff taste good in anything. I have had much better luck with whey Protein powders, although sometimes I will add vanilla or sweetener to the shakes.

terrydumont46 1,954 Posted April 25, 2014 using any kind of Protein powder in stuff is a no no unless you use this method. using cold or warm liquid mix your powder with it.. I am talking just enough to make a paste with the powder. now carefully add the hot liquid and stir. sorta like putting eggs or sour cream into a hot dish. temper it in. works everytime. no separation. I do this in the morning with my coffee so I can have a latte. 1 WorldTraveler reacted to this
