I keep thinking of a new one everyday. This is today's... I most definitely will not miss my underwear rolling down underneath the crease of my stomach. Is it only me who has this problem?

Most definitely not - happens to a lot of us ????

I will not miss everyone always hearing me coming because my thighs rub together and make that swishing noise. My co-worker jokingly said I always know it's you. She didn't mean any harm but it just made me think of something else I will not miss

I will not miss hating cloths shopping

I will not miss dreading going to some function or another because people will see how fat I am and my fiancé is skinny and them probably wondering what he's doing with me.

I will not miss over eating

I will not miss feeling guilty about everything I put in my mouth

I will not miss having to figure out what diet to try next

I will not miss being overweight

I will not miss being able to eat way more than my fiancé at times and wondering what he is thinking when he sees I have more food on my plate than he does but I'm soooo hungry I don't care

I am new to this site and already feel very comforable. I have been dealing with being over weight my entire life. Diets work for me for a couple months and I fall off the wagon. I want to enjoy my life the way it is intended to be. At this point where I am at, it's hard to just go up my stairs without huffing and puffing. I don't like who I have become. All of those things mentioned, I deal with.

1. Flying and having to smoosh my son between my husband and I because I cannot fit into one seat.

2. Wanting to nap on my days off and gorge on fast food.

3. Not being able to play beer league softball with my husband becuase I am too out of shape to run to first base and not be embarrassed.

4. Swollen ankles all the time, and I am not pregnant!

5. Being a skip and a jump away from diabetes.

6. Knee pain

7. Having only two pairs of pants that fit me, and I sew them once a month to keep the together. They are in such bad shape.

8. My chins!

9. Chaffing between my legs when it is hot out.

10. Not being able to shop with my healthy friends at the mall because nothing fits me.

11. Crying when I look in the mirror at home because I dont't know how I got to this point in my life where I weigh so much, and not knowing how to change it.

You know what I do at the beach and pool? I get shorts for Walmart and a cute tankini from target! They go from sizes 16w-28w in stores! No need to wear capris!! :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
