cari73 64 Posted April 23, 2014 I'm on day 3. I cannot even drink 16 oz through out the day. I still haven't had any pain. Just a very little sore.
Goonie 86 Posted April 23, 2014 I'm also 3 days out & have very little pain...however I'm big time suffering from being nauseated....I can't get much Fluid in either...mixing my Premier Protein shake with milk has been helping & g2 is way better (for me) than Water. Good luck to you!

Goonie 86 Posted April 23, 2014 Oh no! I'm sorry! Today was the first day I could get it down...that being said it was only 6 oz. sorry it makes you sick. .
BigGirlPanties 957 Posted April 23, 2014 focus on the fluids...whatever goes down is most important right now... you may want to try to mix your Protein with some Water or milk to make it thinner and that may help...also sugar free popsicles are very soothing. Hot beverages will make you feel good all over and take longer to drink, so you may not be as frustrated... it will pass... take care!
DanteNC 1 Posted April 24, 2014 Well, I'm post day 9 and my advice is to just keep trying. The first (4) days post surgery I had to stay in the hospital as I couldn't get down an ounce - so they would not let me go home due to obvious dehydration concerns. But after day 4, things started to become better and I kept after it with short/obtainable goals. Now I am up to 90-100 oz / day with 120-150 grams of protein/day. So I know how discouraging it is in the beginning, but believe me, the persistance will pay off and you will soon be up to where you should be. 1 LindafromFlorida reacted to this
