I agree, contact your dr asap. That much bleeding could make you anemic.

My periods have just started to get back to normal. So I would expect some abnormal prioress but not one that last 2 Months!

So I am not the only one! I had a period for 3 1/2 months strong. I found out after many tests and doctors visits this is caused from all the hormones that hide in your fat cells and once you loose that fat those hormones are set free. Also, learned that when you had your menstruation cycle before you lost weight you might have not been releasing eggs like normal. So this period you are on now could be releasing the eggs that you were suppose to be loosing. I had to go on hormone therapy for a while and then found out that I am fertile myrtle and I had way too many eggs for the age I was. So that was another root cause why I was having a horrid heavy 3 1/2 period. I also had to go on extra Iron as well because I was becoming anemic. Defiantly meet with your doctor and as well with your OB to see if they can do a pelvic ultra sound so they can see whats going on.

I bled for 8 weeks post-op. It stopped last week. Of course I had called my surgeon and been told it happens. I also called me OB/GYN and scheduled an appt. The first time I could get in was this week. It stopped as soon as I scheduled an appt with my OB/GYN. It's been gone almost a week. I'm loving NOT bleeding! LOL

During all this bleeding, my Mirena fell OUT! 1 day later the bleeding stopped. I wonder if the combination of the hormones from surgery and hormones from the Mirena were causing the bleeding.

I've had two periods since my surgery and they didn't start on time but they only lasted 4-5 days, which is a little longer than normal. But anytime they last that long is a problem....Good Luck but contact you doctor ASAP!

Yep, I pulled a tampon out and along with it came my Mirena! At least my bleeding stopped the next day!!! :-) It hurt like a son of a gun when it came out!! If you're bleeding for weeks on end, make sure your Mirena is in place!!!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
