Okay I had my surgery in December so I'm at the 4 month mark. I've lost 62.5 pounds so far and am feeling great. I'm coming here to just get some suggestions. What are things everyone else is eating that's easy? I work two jobs so finding time to cook is nearly impossible. I'm also a teacher so I've found it easier to eat things that don't need to be heated. For example: I eat grilled turkey breast and a piece of cheese (made with 2% milk) because it's easy to eat while in the classroom. I also snack on things like beef Jerky and mixed nuts.

I work a lot of hours and when I get home I am exhausted. I pick up the ready made roasted chickens from the grocery store and use them to make multiple recipes including chicken salad, chicken casserole and just eating pieces of the chicken as is. I make a hamburger steak (a very small one) and eat it with green Beans. These aren't great recipes but they are legal, healthy and quick and get the job done.

When I'm in the middle of a project or traveling I love those "3P" packets with cubes of ham/turkey/chicken, nuts and low-fat cheese ... 17-19 grams of Protein and no hassle. Environmentally I know it's not great to have the individual packaging, but it is so easy and satisfying when you get busy.

I work full time and have twin 2 year olds so most if the time when I eat its something quick. I liked low fat cooked ham or tutkey( 30 cal slice) cheese cubes, mixed nuts( not many though) too much fat., 100 cal pack tuna salad with a couple saltines, I do eat a few lean cuisines or smart ones usually can only tolerate about half, soups( Campbell's cup of soup), 2 pieces of bacon( center cut less calories and fat), Snacks cheese it crackers my favorite.

I hit four months this past Saturday. I eat Protein only. cheese stick for Breakfast, and a piece of meat for lunch and dinner. I eat such a small portion I usually have left over meat in fridge. Occasionally a few almonds as a snack.< /p>

can you tolerate eggs? I'm thinking boiled eggs, although I usually have to have some mayo with it or its too dry..

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
