gixxergirl 85 Posted May 9, 2014 Lol, I actually had broth and Jello last night I wasn't hungry but needed something on my stomach. How are you feeling today? I pray that things will get better for you as the days go on. You're a soldier, you've motivated me to focus on what's important and stop complaining about the small stuff. god's Blessing to you always is my prayer, Amen. Thank you. I haven't moved yet but my headache is gone. That's a good sign.
Swhitton85 66 Posted May 9, 2014 I am 7 days post op & I am struggling with Protein too. I can't find a shake that I like. I am not a big fan of chocolate. Has anyone ever just ate Greek yogurt in place of the shakes? I would think as long as I am getting the protein in then that is all that matters. The hospital where I did my surgery has a very strict program & they do not allow exceptions. But it's my body & I think I am intelligent enough to make revisions if they work for me. Protein Shake has 30 grams of protein & Greek yogurt has 16 grams so if I eat 2 yogurts during the day as Snacks I would be getting 36 grams plus what I get from my 3 meals. There's a website I buy my shakes from called Chike Nutrition. U can buy a sample pack that lets u try each flavor for like 6.00. They r THE BEST shakes & only ones I can actually enjoy. They also have a high protein iced coffee as well if u enjoy coffee (I'm not a coffee drinker, but my fiancé loves it! I highly recommend u give it a try. If u decide to try, please let me know what u think. Good luck to u
Amyllf2 206 Posted May 10, 2014 I saw my PA this week for my 3 week check up. My belly looks good except for my lingering bruises. I've been given the all clear to exercise and I can also now get in a pool. I like to swim and will be looking for some Water based classes as part of my exercise. I am also going to start doing yoga the 1st of June. I've been put on regular Gatorade to deal with dehydration which may be attributing to low BP, high heart rate and low energy. I've been struggling with fluids so this may help. 1 MissTrish14 reacted to this

teacherlady2133 258 Posted May 11, 2014 How is everyone sleeping? I am 2weeks post-op and to be honest I sleep in twenty min chucks. I am tired and then wake up, think it had been awhile and noticed only 20 mins. One other thing reading makes me so tired too, like I fall asleep using my apps on the phone. Or even looking at items in grocery store makes me sleepy. I know crazy huh?

CalmSpirit 10 Posted May 11, 2014 I have been sleeping more than normal for me. I get tired quickly. I was told it would be normal for quite some time. I'm just glad I can sleep. The first few nights after surgery I kept having dreams that I was eating something I wasn't supposed to and it would wake me up. lol But those stopped. nursediva 0 Posted May 11, 2014 Hi my name is Leighann, I live in Cincinnati, Ohio. I had the gastric bypass April 29th, so twelve days out. No nausea or difficulty drinking the fluids but I agree I have no appetite and could go all day without drinking my shakes. I do crave sweet stuff though ????. Aches at a couple lap sites but nothing huge. Having slot of emotional changes and as I am seperated, I don't feel like I have the support I need. Anyone with any of these issues? About a week out I couldn't stop crying. The doctor said it was the anesthesia and prescribed prozac. I only took one. Fortunately I have a good support system
