jlburger 1 Posted April 22, 2014 Does anyone else feel this way? I am 1 yr 4 months post opt. I've lost 75lbs and do feel great, but I've not reached my goal weight. My doctor says I look great, but I want to be about 15lbs lighter and its getting harder to loose and making me less motivated. I don't want to put weight back on! I am a very busy person and feel like I could fall back into the old eating pattern and I don't want to do that. Since I am busy with my job I don't get to the gym on a regular basis. I'm getting tempted to eat more carbs than normal for me.....help I don't want to get out of control.!!!! Any suggestions????
Catherine707 253 Posted April 22, 2014 Time to recommit to the lifestyle changes that brought you so much success so far! Congrats on losing and maintaining your weight loss. Think back to how you felt before surgery and why you did the surgery in the first place. For me the fear of backsliding is one way I stay motivated. 1 mentalistfan reacted to this
Carlotta1 401 Posted April 22, 2014 I also have 15 pounds left to lose.. You know the basics of getting back on track. Find a motivator that will get u back on track. Set a realistic time frame that u can reasonably lose the 15 pounds. Break that down to smaller goals. 5 pounds a month is what is set for myself.. August 1., is my target date to reach my goal weight. But I do break it down to each month cause I know it is achievable and realistic to lose 5 pounds for the next 3 months. Reduce your carbs now.. Cause your "wants" for carbs will lessen. I ate way too many sweets over easter. But I know I wiill prevail with my continued weight loss. Find and occasion or maybe a nice outfit that u want to buy when u get to your goal .. I have a wedding to attend early in august and I will buy an evening dress that will bedazzle my husband, no matter what the price . 1 gourmetone reacted to this
ElyQuint 446 Posted April 22, 2014 What's the busy all about? Sounds like something other than you is becoming your top priority. You don't have time for that. Life is short and you have wasted too much of it already. It doesn't sound like you are having any fun. What's the point of being 15 pounds from goal if you are too busy to do the things you always wanted to do? 2 Escape_Pod and Carlotta1 reacted to this
