Pretty_In_Purple 112 Posted April 22, 2014 Today I started my purée diet. I had 1/4 cup (1 egg) scrambled egg. From what I've been told I thought I would feel very full. I didn't. What's wrong with me? :-(
LumpySpacePrincess 594 Posted April 22, 2014 (edited) I didn't feel full until I started on solids. Believe me, when you start on chicken you will feel very full very quick! I'm 5 months out and I get stuffed on a single chicken wing! Also, your tummy is probably still a little numb from the surgery. Just stick to your prescribed food volume and you'll be fine! MeMaw Nurse 4 Posted April 22, 2014 I have the same feeling. I am not full but I am not hungry so I just stop eating. I am at the mech soft diet.
Catherine707 253 Posted April 22, 2014 One egg is not "full" for you, but don't go hog wild and try to see how much it takes to be full. It is a gradual learning process and over time through trial and error you will learn how much capacity your sleeve has. Over eating can cause complications and is really uncomfortable. I also think your body needs to relearn what "full" means. Just keep following your surgeons instructions and all will be well I promise! 1 Pretty_In_Purple reacted to this
