Patoonces 13 Posted April 21, 2014 So if you can't drink with meal how would you say have Soup with meal. Like miso and sashimi....is this possible?
Jenuine629 24 Posted April 21, 2014 I havent had my surgery yet....but my understanding of that was not drink with your meal. So if you Soup was your meal, say lunch...you cant have Water or juice with it. You drink your Water before or after....does that make sense?
Sleeveless in seattle 208 Posted April 22, 2014 My surgeon and nut said to drink the broth of Soup first, then eat the chunks. Otherwise, eat thick, chunky soup only. Same with cereal...drink milk first, then eat. Not so fun but I can live with it.
LindafromFlorida 1,542 Posted April 22, 2014 So if you can't drink with meal how would you say have Soup with meal. Like miso and sashimi....is this possible? I would think if you are one month post op the soup would be your meal. You may be talking about down the road, but I think we will live with the sleeve by forever leaving off liquids when we eat. At 5 months post sleeve I still drink broth, and I do not drink Water until later. What we have learned that matters most is that we eat and drink slowly, and even slower than that! Bufflehead 6,358 Posted April 22, 2014 (edited) My dietician's plan is no Soup (after full liquids) and no Cereal, because yes, it is the same thing as drinking with your meal. Edited April 22, 2014 by Bufflehead
