maxcimax 220 Posted April 21, 2014 I'm 70 & decided to have the Sleeve. I'm on oxygen & a CPAP. I'm hoping I will be able to get rid of the CPAP but not sure about the oxygen. I have COPD because I grew up around smokers. I've never smoked a day in my life. But, like most overweight people (about 150#) I have a lot of pain & hate to go anywhere. I was wondering if there are any "old" people out there who have had the surgery & how you are doing with it. My cardiologist/internist has had other patients that have had this surgery & have done very well with it. I don't have my surgery date yet. Hopefully I will have a date this week or next. Indigo1991 1,612 Posted April 21, 2014 Well, I am a few years short of you but just wanted to wish you all the best for your surgery. I hope there are "old" people who can give you the encouragement and support you need... For me, it's the best thing I have ever done, changed my life and rid me of the comorbidites I was suffering pre surgery. In my 50s, I feel 10 years younger - walking, dancing and doing all the great things I had been denied for years. Good luck, hope it all works out for you :-)
