PattyGab 0 Posted April 21, 2014 I am 2 weeks to surgery and was wondering what type od diets your doctors have placed you on this close to surgery?
macman 603 Posted April 21, 2014 I did not have a pre op diet. I was part of a six month managed plan that started at 2000 calories per day and ended at 1700 per day. I lost 42 pounds pre op and my BP and vitals were much improved. Surgeon said any liver reduction had been accomplished along the way, so no special diet. Sunnybaby 95 Posted April 21, 2014 I have a 1200 calorie a day pre-op diet from my bariatric department. There are specific food groups I have to eat at certain times and everything is weighed and measured. I only have a liquid diet for 24 hours prior to surgery.
