It is powder. I get it from the Vitamin Shoppe. I love the iced tea flavor.

Yes, or you can choose what you prefer. I am so sick of chocolate, vanilla and strawberry so I ordered the juice type ones.

I have the nectar Fuzzy Navel and of all the Protein powders I've tried, this is really the only one I can drink post-op. It has 23 grams of protein for one scoop. I mix mine with half juice & half Water.

I got mine at our local Vitamin Shop Inside Drug Emporium. They have the small packs and the tubs. I just bought the small packages to sample what I like. My surgeon told me not to buy much at a time as my taste buds may change after surgery.

I ordered the sample pack two, and it came yesterday. I had my first one today at work, and should have done what they said and stirred it with a spoon. Instead I put it in my water bottle and shook it up vigorously--it took a while to mix and dissolve, but wow was there ever a lot of foam! Next time I'll stir it for sure. I have the cherry flavor, and it was very good.

I'll second the "fuzzy navel" flavor!! I use skim milk & chipped ice, it comes out pretty darn tasty. Their vanilla, chocolate are just too sickly sweet for my taste, but almost every brand I've tried is too sweet for me. I ordered the "grab and go" box from Bariatric Choice.com for $20.99 - there's 12 of one flavor in a box. I tried the Capuccino also & you know, that's a creamy almost latte in the morning and it's helped me knick the coffee jonesing.

I went to my local Vitamin Shoppe and got a few small packs because I'm very impatient. The fuzzy navel was good. Kind of strange, but good.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
