Patoonces 13 Posted April 18, 2014 So, I'm following the plan I'm s upposed to. I don't eat much when I do eat and that equates to not a ton of Protein (to get what the NUT and doc want us to get). So, I s upplement with shakes or powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury Soup but this in turn puts my calories over 800 because easily 200 a pop for 30-50 Protein. I'm finding this increasingly frustrating as my NUT said I should have lost more my 2nd-3rd week and I feel hungry most of the time except when I get that weird burpy chest pain thing after eating actual soft or mushy food. I don't want to not get in my protein and not heal my body (today is 3 weeks to the day) and I want to try to keep my hair! Any ideas?
elfnow 277 Posted April 18, 2014 Isopure!! It's pricey but worth it. It's got NO calories EXCEPT Protein. No carbs!! The taste is tangy, like Jolly ranchers.... I like the apple melon flavor. The fruit punch flavor is pretty good too... Pretty standard fruit punch flavor. They don't taste weird, and if you have Amazon Prime (free 2-day shipping) that makes life MUUUUCH easier. If you don't have Amazon prime, I suggest you get it and order your shakes and stuff thru them... Just be careful because some items come from other sellers and they do charge shipping for that. Anyway, ISOPURE!!!

Fortunately GNC has a easy return policy
Nevermind 117 Posted April 18, 2014 I recommend sampling before buying. I bought just a couple bottles of Isopure. Had to flush them away. Absolutely the worst tasting stuff ever!
elfnow 277 Posted April 18, 2014 I recommend sampling before buying. I bought just a couple bottles of Isopure. Had to flush them away. Absolutely the worst tasting stuff ever! The tangy taste is pretty intense!! It takes me an hour or 2 to get through a 20-oz bottle. The apple-melon flavor is almost exactly like a bottle of liquid jolly rancher koolaid.... If you don't like that sour flavor it's not gonna be pleasant. I had no idea that isopure makes a carby version... But thank you for the warning!! I drink 20 oz a day (one big bottle or sometimes 3 little bottles) and I really do feel less hungry and more able to wait to eat.
vogue 310 Posted April 18, 2014 I get rid of the aftertaste by mixing Isopure with a few sprinkles of Real Lemon powder and sometimes add seltzer Water. It's delish over crushed ice.
