cherrytree15 78 Posted April 18, 2014 OMG! I am so anxious and stressed out, this has been a long journey, almost a year of research and then a cancelled surgery in Mexico. I just wanted to feel safe and have a Dr close by that I can turn to when necessary. Now almost another year later after diet and nutrition, tests and psych visits my paperwork was submitted to Cigna OA Plus for approval. This nail biting experience is worst than the process. Fingers crossed, toes crossed and prayers going up waiting for an approval. I need an approval. Can't sleep or focus, I just am so anxious and nervous! 1 JacobsMommy reacted to this
DarlaHood 7 Posted April 18, 2014 That does seem super stressful. I would be freaking out too! I didn't have that cuz I was self-pay, so things sort of speed up a lot, but I know just waiting for the time I did was so hard. I wish you a very rapid approval!! JacobsMommy 27 Posted April 18, 2014 I have the same insurance and it is very nerve wrecking! Did you have to do a 3 or 6 month diet? I hope everything work out for you. Pray, don't worry, and now go to bed LOL LOL OMG! I am so anxious and stressed out, this has been a long journey, almost a year of research and then a cancelled surgery in Mexico. Folly 308 Posted April 18, 2014 I had to go through 12-weeks of weight loss/nutrition classes before surgery. Calm down, it will happen when it needs to happen. Get some sleep... use this time acquainting yourself with post-op nutrition needs and get your game face on... and breathe! :-)
cherrytree15 78 Posted April 18, 2014 Thank you all for the encouragement, everyone. I had to do a 3 month diet. I had already done 3 months before with my PCP but my surgeon said that my PCP did not properly document my weight loss the way insurance companies want to see it, so I had to do it all over again with their nutritionist before he would submit it to make sure it will be approved. Although I am on pins and needles, I do feel positive that it will go through. Has anyone else been recently approved or awaiting approval?
