sofi_sunshine 14 Posted April 17, 2014 This will pass! It's ok! Don't regret the surgery, I was still really week about 2 weeks after my surgery! It was a month ago now and I'm feeling stronger every day! This is probably just a bad patch! You need to hang in there, even though I know how hard that is right now. Are you still really bloated? 1 anko reacted to this

LindafromFlorida 1,542 Posted April 17, 2014 Everyone needs to read a ton of information on WLS so that they know what can happen. Maybe you will deter someone from the pitfalls of the surgery. At 26 you might have been able to work out and lose weight. At 67, I cannot do the exercise. Risking surgery is not for the faint of heart. I hope your sickness is a temporary thing and that you feel better soon. I read a lot of posts and there are a lot of people who have problems. Anyone reading this should be sure they are prepared for what can happen.
webhopper 57 Posted April 25, 2014 Linda from Florida: we are not the ones to judge whether she could have lost the weight with excercise and diet... I think that anyone considering surgery should prepare for the risks of something not going right. I started the paperwork for fmla and short term disability just in case .... I hope they can get everything figured out! My medical team had me on all kinds of anti inflammatory medications to help the swelling go down which ultimately allowed me to eat broth with Protein powder and runny oatmeal and potato Soup. SugarTea 15 Posted May 27, 2014 Hang in there I do hope you improve soon. I had very few if any complications. I feel very fortunate. However. It is a serious surgery and once you stabilize you will be glad you did it.
