So when I think of having kids I say I want TWINS. Two birds one stone! Then tubes tied.

My boyfriend says no. Because it is to much work and I don't have the patience.

Mind you twins run on both sides of mine and his families. No one in our generation has yet to have twins and it has skipped a few in my family on both sides.

What's your thoughts on twins.

I always said the same thing twins, one boy one girl, all at once, but I know what I went through with one of my kids, and now I would say heck no!!! I had a hard enough time with dealing with one kid at a time, nevermind 2????

I have a 9 year old daughter and 2.5 year old boy/girl twins. Our original plan was to have one, wait a year and then have another. Didn't work out that way. Away 5 years of miscarriage and fertility treatments we were finally blessed with twins. Being that I'm a bit older and had some existing conditions compounded with gestational diabetes the pregnancy was harder than my first but I made it through to 38 weeks with no bed rest. My twins were big at 6.12 and 6.15. The pregnancy took a toll on my body though and I still have nerve damage and compression neuropathy in my foot from the swelling. Comparing my single pregnancy to my twins, I would say it wasn't necessarily and more difficult, just a different kind of difficult. It was also much easier when they were infants than now as preschoolers. Like any new parent, you don't always know how you get through, you just do.

I have twin teenage girls. Twins ran on my side of the family. I love my girls but it's a lot of hard work. Picture having twin teen girls both going through puberty and high school at the same time. The same maturity level! Listen to your husband. Lol

I agree with your boyfriend. I have 5 year old twin boys and they are beyond a handfull and I never really feel that I get to give one special attention like I could if I just had one. BUT if by chance you do have twins you will find the strength and love to handle it.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
