SkinnyJenn 68 Posted April 16, 2014 I didn't eat until about 11:30 this morning and I went with some family to a restaurant in town. I ordered a sirloin tip steak with some potatoes and veggies. Anyway, I'm suffering a bit from allergies and my nose was stuffed, so when I took a bit of a big bite of my steak it was hot and instead of chewing and swallowing bits until it was gone I swallowed most of it in one go. Wasn't really thinking about it till I got terribly stuck. Very painful. So I went to the bathroom and after a minute or two I vomited a bit of steak and some mucus with blood in it. Should I be particularly concerned? I'm not in any pain and I was able to eat afterwards with no problems. Thanks in advance for your response and I apologize for the long post! 2 Mikee57 and kll724 reacted to this
2muchfun 8,927 Posted April 16, 2014 Well, it's always a good idea to call your doctor and run it by him or his nurse? But, you might want to stick to slider type foods for 24 hours to give your pouch and esophagus a rest. I doubt you did any harm but I guess it depends on the amount of blood you coughed up? 5 ☠carolinagirl☠, kll724, Mikee57 and 2 others reacted to this
parisshel 1,892 Posted April 16, 2014 Throwing up blood? I'd call my band doc right away. That would be scary to me. 5 Jim1967, Mikee57, ☠carolinagirl☠ and 2 others reacted to this

kll724 3,055 Posted April 16, 2014 I agree with what everyone else has said. However, you probably just strained yourself, and need to stick to liquids for a day or two. Best wishes/ (do call your surgeon's office, tho)! 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
