Jennifer2575 55 Posted April 15, 2014 I am 6 days post op. Tonight is the 2nd night that I have been able to lay in bed on my side to sleep- however I get the stomach spasms as if I drank to fast or too much. This happening to anyone else? It makes it really hard to fall asleep. I end up finally falling asleep after 2 hours of fighting it or out of sheer exhaustion from taking to long to sleep. Harley59 67 Posted April 15, 2014 Yes - I am up with you !! Tired several positions and just keep having spasms. Finally got out of bed. If I sit in the recliner I am fine. But also, don't seem to be as tired. Guess I really didn't do a lot today but this feels like insomina. Hope it passes soon. My sleeve was 4/8.
Tammylb 174 Posted April 15, 2014 My routine for preparing for sleep is a dose of Tylenol , and a gas strip, even though I'm not hurting I'm trying to avoid it from waking me up. I'm in the recliner sour rounded by pillows .sometimes I put an ice pack on my belly for about 20 min . My pillow is in the shape of a 7 and has been a godsend !! I use a huge pregnancy pillow but the stomach pains still exist. I ended up sleeping pretty decent last night but I slept half sitting up half laying down so my back is not happy about it this am!
