My dietician recommended Culturel, open the capsule and put it in your Protein shake. I hope you feel better soon! The IV alone is awful, but in the neck I can't imagine! pebtash 1 Posted April 15, 2014 Hi, I haven't had my surgery yet but I have been on pain pills for 8 years now do to a back problem. I can tell you that pain pills makes people constipated very bad. I do get really terrible pains in my stomach. I had two kids the natural way and these pains I get from Constipation is much worse. I use 3 Colace at night then I very full cap of myralax (spelling. I go in the morning when I get up. IF your problem has passed keep this in mind for the next time it may happen. Good Luck to you and congrats on your surgery.
