Things I Want.....

Recommended Posts

So im almost 4 months out from surgery and almost to my personal goal.

I see my body changing in ways I dont like. I really want a TT, breast lift , my arms done and Brazilian butt lift.

When do you start checking into this?

I am young and have not had children yet, would you wait?

From what I have read on here most people wait till about a year out before they get surgery so maybe should start to look into plastics in about another 6 months at least...you wnt to be at maintenance first from what I understand...good luck on whatever you chose

i personally plan on waiting until after kids! They change your body completely and I would hate to have had all that work done to have my body change on me again but thats just my personal opinion :) Good luck in whatever you choose and congrats on your weight loss

Our surgeon recommends 1 1/2 years.

I'm 10 months out now and plan to start visiting surgeons at the end of this year (between a year& a yr 1/2 out). I'm wanting breast lift w/ implants & TT first (possibly lower body lift). Then later arms and thighs done. I also don't have children (and don't plan on having any anytime soon- maybe 6-10 years from now). I figured I deserve to look like a "normal" person for the rest of my 20's for sure. lol

Sometime being young has its advantage. The elasticity and collagen in the skin is much better when you are younger. Give it a little time before you decide to have plastic surgery. A lot of your skin might just go back into place with time. A Tummy Tuck will pull your stomach skin tight and also repair your loose ab muscles. However, a baby needs room to grow, which might stretch your skin again, cause stretch marks and ruin all of that beautiful surgery you have paid so much money for.

This is very true! I think I would wait until I have at least 2 children before I get any work done

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
