Susan Beckman 16 Posted April 10, 2014 I had a really bad pain in my stomach last night. I got up to go to bathroom and woke up in the midle of my floor. I must have passed out. This morning was coming up the steps and after first flight I ad the same pain in belly. Got to the top of the steps and hit the floor again. I do not want to call my doctor because I have had so many problems and I think he is getting tired of dealing with me. 1 Mikee57 reacted to this
Terribj 208 Posted April 10, 2014 I would have someone take you to the ER. Passing out is not normal. And never feel bad about contacting your doctor no matter how many issues - that is what they are there for (and get paid what they do ) 2 Mikee57 and misslu58 reacted to this

LindafromFlorida 1,542 Posted April 10, 2014 This was a topic just 2 days ago. Low blood pressure was the cause of my husband passing out. If you have legitimate medical concerns you should call your doctor and not worry about bothering him. There have been many posts here you can research, and get more insight to. Staying hydrated, making sure you are eating right, and in general recovering from surgery can all be reasons for fainting. I have fainted many times in my life, and one thing I have learned is not to get up quickly when I am not feeling well. Take it slow.....

I think that is how you spell it. Also if you have high blood pressure medicine it may need adjusting. No matter how you may think your doc feels your health is more important. Maybe call you primary doc. I hope all gets better for you soon.
millergirl314 168 Posted April 10, 2014 I'm with the others, go to the hospital. If that is the way your doctor makes you feel, tell him and if it gets uncomfortable for any reason, go see a different doctor. No doctor should make you feel like you're wasting their time. I hope you feel better soon :-)
Ginger Snaps 1,323 Posted April 10, 2014 I'm a FIRM believer in using those health care resources as much as you need to! Call your doctor or get to an ER! Passing out can be lots of very bad things including heart issues. My dad is wearing an implanted recording device right now because he keeps fainting. He's got the monitor so that if he does it again, they can tell immediately what caused it. Don't mess around -- get help! Ginger

misslu58 7 Posted April 10, 2014 I am glad to hear you called your doctor. I hope you mentioned the pain in your stomach also, not just the passig out. My doc told me that at two weeks, most chances of a leak have passed, however, there is a slight chance still up to four weeks.... Having pain and then passing out is not normal. Please, be sure when they call you back that if you did not mention the pain before, that you do now. Have you taken your temp? That should not be elevated....
