karinbuck 42 Posted April 9, 2014 Was sleeved March 20th. Ever since the surgery I have had what I call "dirty mouth". That feeling when you have forgotten to brush your teeth. Anyway I have it all the time now. I brush. Won't drink anything but Water and within an hour the feeling is back. Now the insides of my lips are red and irritated as well. Has anyone experienced this after surgery? Does it have anything to do with gas?
debknauss 24 Posted April 9, 2014 Never heard of dirty mouth, I had really bad dry mouth. Maybe try chewing sugar free gum or mints. There's biotein and spray maybe that will help. I did sugar free ice pops. Good luck.
karinbuck 42 Posted April 9, 2014 I've chewed gum and the results are the same. Its funny cause at the time I was chewing gum, I kept thinking of that orbitz commercial. "Dirty mouth. Clean it up!" Lol
Imanurse 27 Posted April 9, 2014 I was told to expect it. And use listerine breath strips.
