Day 5 dramas and what not

Recommended Posts

Yesterday (day 4) I had an awful day I felt uncomfortable and gassy all day and to make things worse I got my period less than 10 days after my last one !!

I threw up last night after dinner I had a soft boiled egg which I puréed but I think I ate too much or to fast , anyway I threw up :( I had to get some de gas tablets because I was so uncomfortable.

I have had an upset stomach for the last 5 days so I am taking fibre again hopefully that helps

This morning I felt dizzy and not so great I need to drink more Fluid , also I am slowly having a Protein shake for Breakfast and I must say that has made me a whole lot better so that's a good start.

I did some dishes and a little bit of tidying up and it's okay so I do feel there is a light at the end of the tunnel so to speak :)

Also I have lost 8.8lbs in 5 days :)

yes, gasiness can be resolved with walking for most of us

if you are feeling nauseous however, you need to contact your doctor...you shouldn't feel that way all the time.

liquids will help, make sure you are getting enough....

Good luck to you both

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
