lrobbins 9 Posted April 8, 2014 Okay single ppl chime in. I am 25 and single I've had the sleeve in January and doing pretty well my issue is I don't want to date a guy who wouldn't date me pre-surgery and pre-skinny, I feel like if I wasn't good enough then why am I good enough now? Anyone else face this ? 1 pinky4652 reacted to this
AshleyMidwife 189 Posted April 8, 2014 I'm not single, but have had this thought over the years when I've lost significant weight (then gained it back). I think if you find someone you really enjoy and can trust with the information about your past self and surgery, if they can accept that and love you even more for it, then hang onto that person! You can't expect someone to love you for who you used to be. You weren't happy with the person either remember. This is you chance to reinvent yourself. You want someone who loves you for who you are! Not who you were. I think though that if they can't accept your journey, you might reconsider. Love who you are and work it!!! 2 tami j and lrobbins reacted to this
