Katham59 3 Posted April 9, 2014 I'm about a week out (3-31-14) and pretty much feel awful most of the time. Haven't vomited (thank God) but just pain and discomfort. Going in to see the surgeon, 1 week early, tomorrow morning.

Mississippi Girl 124 Posted April 9, 2014 walk as much as you can, the sooner you start walking the better you will feel. i had surgery on 3/10 at 3:00 in the afternoon. i was up walking that evening. the next day i walked ten minutes out of every hour. the more i walked the better i felt. the people i had surgery with….well on the same day….started walking with me. i would go get them out of their rooms and we would walk. we had a great support group among us. i did get sick the first night and throw up some. they gave me pain meds and something for nausea in my iv. that helped and i was able to stop vomiting. the next day i felt like a new person. although, i was sore and still am at times. would not change any of it for the world. i am happy to be on this journey with each and every one of you, i wish you all a successful, joyful journey.
