AmandaLee30 0 Posted April 7, 2014 Hello.... I'm Amanda. I had my surgery December 4th, 2013. So it has been about 4 months now and I have lost a little over 80 lbs. For the most part I feel good just tired sometimes. I joined this site to hopefully make friends and share experiences going thru this whole process. I'm not gonna lie, the last 4 months havn't been easy. I always worry about my weight loss, if I have lost enough, am I on track? . I get BAD dizzy spells that I have talked to my doctor about. He told me I needed to take in more calories. Now, if six months ago I was told I needed to eat more, NO PROBLEM! But now, Its hard to wrap my head around. I am never hungry and eating seems more like a chore, I do not enjoy it. Is this a normal feeling??? I have managed to raise my caloric intake to about 500-600 calories a day. The doctor and dietician want more. Honestly, I don't WANT too. I got to the point where I needed surgery to lose the weight by eating to many calories. I worry if I eat to much I'm going to stretch my sleeve out and start gaining weight again.
RJ'S/beginning 5,358 Posted April 7, 2014 You are not going to lose much more if you keep your caloric intake there. You need at least 900-1000 calories a day. Mostly Protein. There are times that even at 17 months out that I have trouble eating enough. Other times I could eat more then I should if I chose to do so. But you..Your body will stop you cold if you don't feed it. Try a Protein shake after a few almonds 15 min. apart. Take in a Protein Bar....You have to eat more so your body is fed well enough to feel safe and drop the weight. Your metabolism is slowing down and your body will fight you.... This is fact......okay..Do it for your overall health!
