Jessiegirl30 149 Posted April 7, 2014 Today is day 4 and I feel okay , apart from feeling a bit uncomfortable with the extra gas in my system , does any one have any tips on how to help this gas pass? Oh and also experiencing a bit of diarrhoea but this could be because of the drugs the hospital pumped into me ??? The purée diet is blah but it's okay 1/3 weetbix with milk for Breakfast & my husband has made a huge Soup for lunch and dinner last night for dinner I had some mashed up mince and gravy like less than a dessert spoon full it's okay it's what I expected . It's nice to be able to sit at home instead of hospital just watching TV and not doing anything Anyways anyone have any great tips for gas or anything else please let me know 1 lockkill reacted to this
kltklass 144 Posted April 7, 2014 Walk, walk and walk some more. Walk from the couch to the bathroom, bed to the couch etc.. Walking it the only sure way of moving the gas. I'm glad you are feeling well and your surgery was a success. Welcome to the losers bench. 2 Jessiegirl30 and PdxMan reacted to this
Sandy1363 9 Posted April 7, 2014 I am 6 days post op and yea the gas all I have found is to walk until you can't walk anymore unfortunately. And wish I had your surgeon cuz I am still on liquids and don't see him until Wednesday for first visit. So tired of liquids. But as I said walking is all that helps me the gas x strips was a waste for me. But have had others say works for them. Good Luck we are all in this together
sheriann 2 Posted April 8, 2014 Besides walking I heard gas strips are a life saver. I picked some up for my surgery tomorrow!!
