kel2014 6 Posted April 7, 2014 I got my sleeve on 12-3-13. Initially I felt like I was run over by a truck but then I turned the corner and felt better. I've had good weight loss, 52 lbs but I am still tired most of the time. One would think loosing weight would bring more energy but that's not the case. I've been taking all my Vitamins and I give myself B-12 shots. Anyone else experiencing fatigue? 1 Band2Sleever reacted to this
joatsaint 2,814 Posted April 7, 2014 I had surgery on 12-27-13 and I was experiencing fatigue long before that. I too though that my energy levels would increase as I lost the weight. But it's still the same. I have waves of energy then come crashing down. I've been taking Vitamins, Calcium and B12 - I'll feel really good for a few hours afterwards, but then lose all my energy. I guess I need to go and have my blood tested, but I keep putting it off. The only way I've found to keep my energy levels kinda even is to drink coffee with a little real sugar in it. I think the combination of caffeine and sugar being slowly released into my system stabilizes my energy levels.
kel2014 6 Posted April 7, 2014 According to my surgeon it's best to do lab work at the 6 mos. post op. I know I've gotta be deficient in something. I am going to see my PCP so maybe she can do some blood work. 1 NMJG reacted to this
