Stomach very tender after 10 days on pre-op diet.

Is this normal ? Does anyone else have this issue. Seems to be most bothersome at night. Very uncomfortable. Drinking plenty.

I am on day 7 of my pre-op liquid diet and I have the same problem. My stomach gets burny and bubbly, just kind of uncomfortable. I have also kind of got a little nauseous sometimes to, which I never used to do.

Glad to know I am not alone. Wish we knew what it is.

If you are eating too quickly and swallowing air, or running your shakes through a blender, you are incorporating air into your new tummy. You could just mix them up in a bowl, then strain them into your container to get undisolved whey Protein out. Gas X strips should help, too. Don't let any mystifying problem go too long without contacting your doctor. Also, nothing spicy for a while.

I think it might be just getting used to the Protein. I know when my husband changes protein he gets really gassy from it.

Thanks Miss Mac, we are both talking about our pre-op liquid diet. But this is good information for after our surgery about the blender and Gas X strips. Is it good just to plan on buying the gas x strips and taking them to the hospital with me?
