heavencynt72 0 Posted April 6, 2014 Hello:) In 1998, I had a Gastric Bypass. I weighed 479lbs. I only got down to 300lbs. Now I'm at 375lbs. I'm currently in process for a revision. I've completed most of the steps and will be up for a surgery date soon. My doctor is talking to me about the procedure where you absorb less calories. Is there anyone out there who has a similar story? I need help please...

brannstuff 9 Posted July 21, 2014 Hmmm. Which bypass did you have? Are you looking at the Biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch? That is the most drastic one that I'm aware of. My doc wouldn't do it for me, she was worried about lifelong nutritional deficiencies and the dreaded "dumping"
