jdillon 355 Posted April 7, 2014 (edited) What makes it tough to get fluids in? I've seen this a lot. Is your sleeve full? Edited April 7, 2014 by jdillon
Jmashell2014 2 Posted April 7, 2014 What makes it tough to get fluids in? I've seen this a lot. Is your sleeve full? I think it's just the swelling that comes with surgery. Right now I can take as much of a drink to wet my thirst down my stomach at one time. I heard it would be difficult the first week.
lilbitahoney 17 Posted April 8, 2014 My original surgery date was 2/5 so I did the preop diet in January. Then I didn't get cleared by the anesthesiologist because he wanted me to do a sleep study to check for sleep apnea, which I have. That "sleep study" took over a month so I stopped the preop diet and continued my food funeral lol. Then I was scheduled for March 19, but I had a cold. Was sent home from the OR. Then they rescheduled me for 4/2. Honestly I was fed up with the back and forth preop diet so I didn't follow it. I ate less and ate healthier but didn't follow it. I was put on Clear Liquids 48 hrs before surgery and that I followed I am now 6 days postop and am finally feeling better, and already down10. I am struggling with my mental demons with food, but am terrified of the dumping syndrome so I won't even think of veering off in any way. I am pretty happy and just keep looking forward to Stage 2. One week down, one week to go to be moved forward. I can do this. WE can do this!!!
