lifechanging45 4 Posted April 6, 2014 7 days post op and things seems to be on track. Not feeling restricted trying hard to stick to the diet. Getting some exercise not at all very tired. Looking forward to the first fill I think this will be the real test. 1 Bandista reacted to this
2muchfun 8,927 Posted April 6, 2014 During the first 3 months I tried very hard to eat healthy. Cutting out the refined flours and sugars and stuck to fresh cooked Protein and veggies. Didn't always succeed every day but I managed to maintain my initial 12 lb loss till my 3rd fill which was the fill that gave me some restriction/satiety. Stay motivated! 2 Bandista and terrydumont46 reacted to this
JustWatchMe 7,117 Posted April 6, 2014 I never in a million years would have thought that exercise in my fifties would be anything but drudgery for me, but my walking on a treadmill every day and adding a minute each day is getting me motivated. I won't lie, the first few times were really hard since I am so sedentary, and I absolutely can't do it in the morning... but every day when I get home from work I walk my treadmill and it is like a little challenge each day that I feel so good about. I have 4 days to go before I reach two miles per day, and that feels great. Who knows, maybe some day I'll do a 5k. (One can dream...) Good luck! 2 2muchfun and Bandista reacted to this

terrydumont46 1,954 Posted April 6, 2014 until you reach your green spot you will be hungry. one thing banders have to do as they are getting their fills which should take months is diet. sorry I said that word. and practice to just eat a cup of food at a sitting. Protein first, cooked vege. and salad next and a carb if you are still hungry. and just walk everyday. if you are doing a gym than great. I lost wt. during bandster hell it was slow but at least it wasn't a gain. but don't be surprise if you do gain a bit it wouldn't be unusual. stick to a healthy diet and move a bit and you will do fine. 2 2muchfun and Bandista reacted to this
Bandista 7,466 Posted April 7, 2014 Congratulations on your surgery! Sounds like you are healing up nicely. I am five months out and thrilled with my decision. It takes a little while to get into the swing but I have enjoyed the process. It's so great to be out of food jail! 2 2muchfun and lifechanging45 reacted to this
