TRANAM1955 1 Posted April 6, 2007 HI Folks, I am 17 days post op and really feel great....however, my right kidney is sore and tender. My urine color is still light yellow so I dont think I am in ketosis or dehydrated? I do not think it is a gas pain because it is not going away. mylapspirit 2 Posted April 6, 2007 Sounds like a question for your doctor. One guy in our class kidney's shut down and he ended up back in the hospital with dehydration. TRANAM1955 1 Posted April 8, 2007 I was still experiencing pain on the right side so I went to a walk in clinic today, ( my doctor was closed ) and the PA said I had a mild urinary tract infection. I asked her several times was she sure I did not have a problem with my kidney and she said no. I am also experiencing pain or tenderness on my back on the right side. So, she thinks it is the urniary tract infection and the fact I have been sedentary most of this week. ( I worked from home and was on the computer for 15 hours most days ) I am on antibiotics and took some ibuprofen. It has been 5 days since I had a BM and I guess my body is kinda stoppin up? I took some stool softeners so maybe tomorrow will be a better day. Sorry if it is TMI, but I feel some one else may have this happen and they should know it will be okay.
