NinaL 1 Posted June 2, 2014 Hi Marni! Sorry about the AR. I know it can't be fun. I get to start purée tomorrow. Really looking forward to it. My list says I can have refried Beans with cheese and sour cream!!!!!!!!!!!! (low fat of course). Or egg salad...or fish...or mashed potatoes... Can you tell I'm excited? I think I'm gonna do mostly baby food tho. It will be nice to not be hungry. liquids are not filling....at least not for long. Hang in there and lets do this together. hockeywife91 106 Posted June 9, 2014 Hello everyone. I'm a May sleever also. I had my revision from band to sleeve on May 14th and am loving my new little tummy. So happy to be off the liquid stage now! How is everyone else doing? 1 ljf0204 reacted to this
hrhlaurie 185 Posted June 9, 2014 I'm not sure why my doctor had me on liquids for only 7 days after surgery, then 14 days of soft and mushy. I think I should have stayed on liquids a bit longer so I'm still having Protein Shakes for Breakfast since I like them and it helps me get more liquid in. However, tonight I had some mashed up baked potato with seasoning, a bit of ham salad and a drop of olive oil. I ended up with 4 Tbsp of food which I ate really slowly and I ended up eating it all eventually. Oh, full and miserable tummy, I'm so sorry. I have to remember to stick to 2 Tbsp per meal for the next two weeks. I'm sure this will do nothing to help the Constipation or my one day stall at 238. Weird how one set back feels big to me right now. I need to get over it and have a new strategy tomorrow. This is probably the first time I've stressed about over eating by 2 Tbsp so I can find some humor in that.

hockeywife91 106 Posted June 10, 2014 Have any of you tried the Ricotta Bake by Eggface? I tried it last night and it was delicious. Perfect for pureed and soft food stage. I'm not a huge fan of ricotta, so I substituted the 1 cup of ricotta with 1/2 cup ricotta and 1/2 cup of cottage cheese. It tasted just like lasagna without the Pasta and meat. Delish! http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp?recipe=1793517 3 hillgirly, MomUv3 and JenLyn03 reacted to this

its-about-time1970 1 Posted June 11, 2014 5 weeks out started mushy foods yesterday! Could only get one boiled egg down. But it tasted awesome. I had surgery on May 5 th. At that time I was 280lbs. Three days later I was 298 due to fluids given in hosp. For three days. Today I am happy to say I am 257.1. I still tired but getting more energy each day. I have come off my insulin and no longer usey CPap machine. Only real complaint is the smell of my breath NUT says it will get better the longer I am on solids. It's going to be a long journey but well worth it. 1 getnhealthyintx reacted to this
Divadee35 47 Posted June 11, 2014 30 lbs down as of today!!!! 252-222!!! You go chica! Woohoo... I'm 243 so I'm down, -28! This definitely a journey! I've been trying little stuff, but then my stomach be like, I'm not ready and I have to run the bathroom! I find myself snacking a lot, I guess because I'm not getting full meals! I snack on fresh fruit though.... I love me some Publix fruit, cut fresh! That's definitely a change for myself, because it use to be Publix cake! It feel so good to walk by that section and not be bothered! Oh yea... So DaddyMarie, what does your food schedule look like?
hrhlaurie 185 Posted June 12, 2014 I kind of like my soft foods diet, it's working for me and frankenbelly has adjusted to the introduction of squishy food. I've found a pretty good variety and even though I have some sugar free snack foods, I don't really want them. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since surgery so I imagine I'll add more items and Snacks over time. Tomorrow im going to try on some clothes and get rid of some baggies. I'm going down and not going back! Today I wore capris I haven't worn in a year or two, can't remember and they were comfortable and shirt loose. It's a good thing I'm a bit of an optimistic saver and have clothes in several sizes in my closet!
