Mine gave me a water bottle with a straw straight after surgery. No issues. Center of Excellence too.

I try not to drink out of straws. But sometimes u can't resist. . It does add bubbly to my stomach.

I drink from a straw and find it great no issues and find it easier to drink than trying to sip a cup of coffee when I was in hospital they gave me a straw as soon as I came out and I'm now three week post op and I still find it easier through a straw
