LilMissDiva Irene 3,282 Posted May 15, 2014 Oh my I'm very sorry to hear that. All of this couldn't happen soon enough. Turns out for myself the coordinator has not even submitted my packet to my insurance yet. I wasn't all that happy about it, but with how I feel I just want everything done yesterday. I'm sure you understand as you are suffering. Please keep in touch and let me know how you're doing.

isabellasky0 1 Posted September 28, 2014 Following - I went from band to sleeve. Band was awesome but slipped during pregnancy. I have no restriction with the sleeve so I want a bypass
123Go 26 Posted September 28, 2014 Hi all I had my mini gastric bypass (omega loop) 7 days ago. Previously I had a sleeve and before that a lapband. Also had a hiatal hernia fixed and am still in hospital but that's because I developed a chest infection after surgery. MGB-wise though the pain wasn't too bad. My surgery took 3 hours, longer than expected, but my surgeon has only just started doing MGBs... And my stomach has been though a lot in the past since the lapband mangled it lol Looking forward to heading home tomorrow or the day after if this cough would clear up! flagirlintx 2 Posted September 29, 2014 Hi all. Having lap band to RNY in the morning (9/29/2014). (-: It's been a long wait. I had my lap band in 2009 at 250 lbs. Stayed at around 220 for the next few years. Did Medifast and got down to 199 but gained it back plus some. I had the Fluid taken out of my band four months ago due to signs of erosion, acid reflux and in preparation of RNY. Gained almost 25 pounds in 4 months following the fluid being taken out. Ugh. So, going in tomorrow I should be about 251-252. If it's less (due to the 3 day pre-op diet) great, if not, that's okay too. I have no doubt I'll lose it. I've researched this like crazy. Read every book, success and failure story I could find. I really understand the life changes I need to make this time and can't wait to make them. Couch potato to 5k is my first one - 2015 Disney Princess Half Marathon is the second! Anyway, I look forward to giving some updates to how it goes. I don't post much but reading all of yours has been invaluable. I'm wishing us all good health and success!!! Kathi
NC Girl 6 Posted October 1, 2014 Hey flagirlintx, My story is very very very similar to yours, even down to the weight I had my band out in February and my bypass is October 2nd! I'd love to hear how yours went! Hope it went great! Tammy
