AprilHansen 109 Posted April 4, 2014 I am 10 days post op, drinking more than 90 grams of Protein (but only getting about 500 calories). I have ZERO energy. It takes everything I have just to take a shower. I am still quite sore at incision sites, but glad the staples were taken out today. Anyone have ideas on how to decrease the fatigue I'm feeling? I start Vitamins and pureed foods on tuesday... hopefully that will help?

AprilHansen 109 Posted April 5, 2014 How on earth do people have the energy to cook and try new things? I spend 10 minutes in the kitchen to get my shake and soup... and I have to go back to bed... like I've run a marathon. I'm 224 pounds. Down 26 pounds since pre-op started in January. bonrat 1 Posted April 27, 2014 Cheer up...this is temporary! Your body had had a MAJOR overhaul and shock. Give it time to recover, a marathon is NOTHING compared to what happened. You will be fine and the energy will return. The 90 grams of Protein are right on the money. Enjoy the extra sleep and couch time--you will be roaring and running in no time at all!!
