At 4 months out I'm down 100 pounds as of this morning. I'm so glad I had this done as my life and health have improved so much in a short period of time.

Congratulations! Keep pushing to hit your goal, then the hard part starts, eating right for the rest of your life. Take it day by day. I was on track to hit a 100# at four months but have been in a two week stall. I can still hit the mark if my body decides it is time to burn some fat!

Congrats Andrew! May I ask if after that initial surge of weight loss did you find that you lost pretty steady every week say around 5 pounds or did your journy have weeks where you lost more than other weeks? I am only at the 3 week mark and after my first two weeks of losing 30 pounds I lost 6 pounds my 3rd week and was wondering what my weekly losses would look like. I read a lot of posts where others talk about 'stalling' which at my size and muscle mass and the little I eat seems almost impossible to me. Thanks.

Thank you and congratulations on your success!

My weight loss was pretty steady until recently. It's slowed down but I continue to lose inches. I've attributed this to my losing some muscle mass earlier and now adding muscle as I've begun some strength training.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
