Anitamaire 5 Posted April 3, 2014 I am interested in become a group leader. I think I would be a good leader as I am 13 months post op have been very successful with my sleeve and have encouraged 3 of my co workers to have it done and "walked" them through the process. I am available days & evenings as I work overnights. 2 Alex Brecher and moonlitestarbrite reacted to this

Mantar 17 Posted June 6, 2014 I'm not sure I would like to lead... but maybe co-lead a support group. I will be 1 year post op in August 2014 with a weight loss so far of 85lbs I would consider myself very knowledgeable on the subject and would be happy to share my experience pre/post opt. with anyone interested Also, I didn't have my surgery done the conventional way... I was a self pay and got the surgery in Mexico and I would love to answer any questions about that and talk about all the fears and prejudices people have about getting the surgery outside of the US. And if people are looking for a post-op walking or workout partner, let me know... I would love to start a group !!! lets get those pounds off !!! 2 rian2010 and Alex Brecher reacted to this

RenaissanceMan 0 Posted October 14, 2014 I am pre-op and live in Rochester, NY. Interested in connecting with a local community. Targeting RNY in early 2015 and currently doing the nutritionist visits and adopting the necessary behaviors. Already had psych evaluation and passed. Haven't yet met my surgeon. fortheloveofme 7 Posted January 26, 2015 Hello there. I am a Western New Yorker as well living in Niagara County. Haven't officially started the process yet and trying to learn more... What Dr's are you all seeing and are you happy? I am really only interested in the sleeve, but have heard that it is the drs decision.. is that true?
Mantar 17 Posted January 26, 2015 "but have heard that it is the drs decision.. is that true?" NO... this is false It is always your choice of what you want I am 1 1/2 year post op... and can answer your questions... if you like we could meet for coffee.. PM if your interested
fortheloveofme 7 Posted January 26, 2015 Thanks! coffee sounds great. We should get a group together and meet up we would have to choose central spot. I initially thought that it was our choice but someone I spoke with made me think that it wasn't entirely up to me.. insurance and dr recommendation etc all play a role which I completely understand. The whole process just seems so surreal!
fortheloveofme 7 Posted January 26, 2015 Oh, and I forgot to ask.. where is your surgeon bc I don't recognize the name?
