FitSmash 8 Posted April 3, 2014 This is my first time on here. I had my surgery on 3/25/14 which makes it a week as of yesterday. I have to be honest. It was much more difficult or at least different than I expected. I feel as if they warn you about text book feelings post op but not realistic ones. I wish I had a head up on the fact I was going to feel every sip from my throat until it hit my stomach. Or at least a warning that my sense of smell and taste would 180. Other than a few bumps in the road here and there everything has been going fairly well. I'm up and moving and in the first week I'm down 15lbs!! 3 gmanbat, Life in Progress and kltklass reacted to this

joatsaint 2,814 Posted April 3, 2014 (edited) Congrats on a successful start post-op! I went through the haywire taste buds thing soon after surgery. Every flavor had to be double strong for it to taste good, but that went away after a week or so. The good part was that I started liking (healthy) foods that I wouldn't touch pre-surgery.
