pookybear 284 Posted April 3, 2014 Since surgery...well, at least for the last 6-8 months...I've had a dryness issue. Anyone else have this? I don't know if it's surgery related or just a coincidence. Nothing else has changed, other than me getting older lol.
Life in Progress 9 Posted April 3, 2014 I have been very dry. Inside and out. I think my biggest problem is getting in enough fluids. I have been trying to add a Powerade zero to my fluids and it has seemed to help me stay hydrated a little better. Hopefully coming out of winter will help the dryness out a little too. KristinaRnY 455 Posted April 3, 2014 You mean like... Dry? Dry??? Or what cuz I thought I knew what you meant but then was confused by the above response so I'll wait for clarification before I reply lol!

I am 44 and now I am really dry to the point that it bothers the heck out of me in certain parts of my body (if you know what I mean!) I know I am not getting enough liquids. I only can seem to get the minimum of 48 oz, but I keep trying.
KristinaRnY 455 Posted April 3, 2014 Ahhh ok I have been having the exact opposite. Lol maybe because of my age... I'll be 24 on April 12th but I could wake up in the middle of the night ready to go!
pookybear 284 Posted April 4, 2014 Good I'm not alone! I never had this issue before. I start out fine but it goes downhill pretty fast lol. My boyfriend feels bad because he thinks he doesn't do it for me anymore. I feel bad because we have issues sometimes because of it and I feel like it's my fault. Emeree 19 Posted April 4, 2014 Hi Pookybear. No you are definitely not alone. I had the problem just a lil bit before surgery due to a hysterectomy (ovaries remain though for right now). BUT now it is a big problem. It hurts just to walk around and I also have extremely hard Water at home. I haven't really looked into something for it, but I may need to. I have been using Vagisil, but it is such a pain to have to keep applying though the day. I see a gynecologist in a few weeks for ovary problems and I am going to ask her what can be done about the severe dryness. I will let you know. I have other health issues and sometimes don't remember to follow up, so shoot me a message or something if I forget to let you know. Tell your man it's not him. My husband thought this at first, when I initially started changing after the hysterectomy, but now we just keep our room fully stocked up on lube (lol). And, please know that it is NOT your fault and don't let this stop you from reaching your goal. You are doing great!
