What is the diet after you have Lap Band removal ( no revision)

Is there a liquid to solid food progression?

Your surgeon didn't give you any specifics?

Were there any complications like dilation, erosion, slips or dysphagia that might affect what you can eat?

Just wondering...I'm in the getting approval from insurance stage. United Healthcare asked my doctors office to get me a psych eval and dietician meeting. Dr office going to clarify why with them tomorrow.

No dilation, erosion, dysphagia. Had egd. Just a slip revealing an esophageal motility issue. Lost 25lbs in 3 weeks. Band has no fill since Oct. 2013.

I had my lap band out yesterday and was told by my surgeon the following:

Day 1: liquids

Day 2: liquids into soft foods

Day 3: soft foods into solid foods

Try to avoid greasy stuff in the first few weeks. Be sure this is a gradual change.

Clearly, this is as long as you tolerate the solid foods. Hope this helps
