dlfjr1 2 Posted April 2, 2014 I started my journey at 330 pounds in June of 2013. I am now at 228 pounds. For about the last month I have been between 330 and 228 fluctuating every couple days. It does not seem like I can lose anymore weight. My doctor said that I should lose about 97 pounds within a year. I know I am ahead at 102 pounds but it gets frustrating when you don't lose anymore weight. 2 months ago when I went to see my doctor I told him I was at 1300 calories per day and he told me to up it 1500 calories. He said that someone my size should be getting at least 1500 calories a day. I was thinking that I might want to lower it down to like 1100 and see if that helps. Whenever I eat breas it is usually the Sara Lee 45 calorie per slice bread. Also on a 1300 calorie diet how many grams of sugar should I be eating and how many grams of fat should I be eating. Also how many carbs should I be eating. I am very strict and use My Fitness Pal. I am I always under my calorie count. Any help anyone can give would be appreciated to help me get over this style. 1 1Day1Life4Now reacted to this
2013sleevegirl 126 Posted April 3, 2014 My advice is to follow what your physician recommend. Try it and see if it works.
jenpez 113 Posted April 3, 2014 Really I think you need to see a qualified Bariatric nutritionist. Congratulations on losing the 102 lbs. that is fantastic! We can all tell you what we do, or don't do but we all have different stats. Like heights, exercise regimes, jobs, even where we live can make a difference etc. There are a lot of threads about plateaus and you can search for them and read it all but none of it will be as succinct as a nutritionist that you get on with and trust. I personally have not read about any sleeve patient that can get in 1500 cals per day in the first year or so, but that is not to say there are none around. There are also a lot of books, many of which you can download, which will help with post surgery dietary requirements. I am a bit concerned about the sugar question, do you mean carbs found in fruit and veges or do you mean sugar added? If you mean sugar added the answer is none full stop. I am sure you will get more answers but I hope this helps in the meantime.
