747heavy 10 Posted April 2, 2014 Well April fools day started at 3:30am at home, Stanford at 5:00 am in surgery at 7:15am out of surgery at 8:20 am back home at 3:30pm WOW!! I start my planning for the lap band in September at 289# have been fighting with my weight for years and just decided to do something for myself. I am 67 and flew Internationaly for the last 25 years of my career from buffett to another one 5000 miles away. got retired in 2009 and became a father/great grandfather a year later, am now raising a 4 year old great grandson. In order to keep up with him I had to do something. I chose the lap band because I get to keep all my parts. my pre op time from september was yo yo on my weight down 6# up 9# back and forth finally got to 274 3weeks before surgery and had my last pre op class at standford BMI clinic and decided to start my high/liquid diet then did 3 weeks of 850-1000 calorie 90-100 gram Protein and 10-15miles a week at gym very surprising I was'nt hungery eating 6 meals and 48 oz of Water. got down to 251.6 on day of surgery. All went well and main post op pain is in shoulders and collerbone area because of the air that they pump into you while doing the placement WALK WALK helps now to go from here 2 Debbie3sons and Leepers reacted to this
