My surgery went well, I've lost a total of 22 pounds in 4 weeks. Only problem I'm having is I hate the chewable Vitamins that I have to take. Why is it they have to be chewable for the first 4 to 6 months?

I don't know why but probably something to do with the way the body handles a regular pill. Congrats on your weight loss and being banded. Julie

I have some "gummi" children's Vitamins that are pretty good.

I also prefer the chalky ones to the chocolate chewy kind. Those nasty viactive Vitamins left a slimy gooey residue. YUCK. I used the last of mine and will never get them again!

I think they have to be chewable forever... because once you get restriction, a large pill just isn't going to work... Most Multi Vitamins are pretty big "horse" pills... so, chewables or liquids are the way....

Good luck finding some chewables that you like. Or you can google liquid Vitamins. I know they have some.

I got some liquid Vitamins from the Vitamin shop and my Doc said those are fine. Worth a try if you don't want to chew them - yucky!

I got some liquid vitamins at Sam's club and they're tolerable...just taste like strong orange juice and you only have to take 2 tsp.
