Mrs.RRn 2,111 Posted April 2, 2014 So I haven't dropped weight in the last couple months, which is extremely frustrating. So, I think My body may just be comfortable here. I'm considering hiring a personal trainer to kick it up a notch. For those of you who have, any advice?? Specific questions to ask? What do I need to know? Any suggestions would be appreciated. This seems like a big investment, so I want to chose the right person. Thanks in advance!
NMJG 1,266 Posted April 2, 2014 Being able to feel comfortable and trust you pt is important. You want them to push you, but there is also a limit and you and your trainer need to both agree on what that line is. Adding muscle may well help you, since muscle burns more calories. It's a great thing to do for yourself. However, be prepared to not lose on the scale, and maybe even gain, while you are building muscle. Do expect to see fat reduction, though, via measurements and skin fold tests. 1 Mrs.RRn reacted to this
Just mom 4 Posted April 2, 2014 Youfit has a deal that is month to month for a trainer. That is what I'm doing if you don't like your trainer ask for someone else ask around the gym. Love mine and he had worked with other wls patients. It's important to get along and he/she needs to know what you want to accomplish. I'm working on toning and weight loss, so low weight more reps. Though after surgery I want tone and ripped!
